Marvel has released a motion poster for Daredevil season 3. The very brief tease is quite cryptic and hints at the Hell's Kitchen hero having a pretty tough start to his next solo outing in Netflix's corner of the Marvel universe. The promo, which is just a few seconds in length, poses a pretty simple question; where is Matt Murdock?

This is a question that certainly needs answering, from the viewpoint of the other people in this universe. Spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen The Defenders yet on Netflix, but the end of that team up left Matt's fellow heroes believing that he was dead. However, viewers were clued into the fact that he survived and will be back for Daredevil season 3. Despite the fact that everyone who knows Matt thinks he died, this promo, which features a "missing" sign on a light post on the streets of New York City, which appears to have been printed up by the police department, clearly hints that at least one person believes he's alive.

The Marvel Twitter account simply posted a question mark, in addition to tagging the official Daredevil account as their caption. Not a whole lot to go on, unfortunately. The other Defenders jumped in on the comments section, with Jessica Jones asking, "Who would do this?" Luke Cage then chimed in with, "What's wrong with keeping hope alive?" Iron Fist expressed a similar sentiment saying, "Yeah, the city needs more guys like him." Jessica wasn't having it and she finished up the exchange with a grim punctuation mark.

"That doesn't make him any less dead."

At the present time, not much as been revealed in regards to the story set to unfold in Daredevil season 3. What we know for sure is that Wilson Bethel has been brought on board to play the part of Bullseye, who is arguably Matt Murdock's greatest foe. The character was previously played by Colin Ferrell in the disastrous Daredevil movie. Here's hoping this version translates a bit better from page to screen. But given how well this series did with characters like The Punisher, Wilson Fisk and Elektra, there shouldn't be any cause for concern. Speaking of Wilson Fisk, it was also previously revealed that Vincent D'Onofrio will be back as Kingpin in season 3.

It's already been more than two years since season 2 premiered on Netflix. It's already been confirmed that the streaming service will release Daredevil season 3 before 2018 is over with, they just haven't confirmed a release date. With Iron Fist season 2 dropping this weekend, we could possibly be getting some more details on that front. And possibly even a more thorough teaser. Fingers crossed. For now, be sure to check out the recently released promo from the Marvel Entertainment Twitter account for yourself below and feel free to speculate wildly as to what it could mean.
