Daredevil Season 3 was just confirmed for a 2018 release date a few days ago, which has Marvel fans extremely excited, especially since many believed that the Netflix series wasn't going to premiere until 2019 at the earliest. And now, fans of the show may have something else to get excited about as well, with the confirmation that Wilson Bethel is playing Bullseye. There have been rumors circulating for years that Bullseye would show up in Netflix's Daredevil, and those rumors have just been proven to be true.
The very first season of Daredevil contained a brief tease of Bullseye, which kicked off all of the speculation in the first place. Additionally, a Reddit rumor from back in May teased that the character would show up in Season 3. Arazi Fitness personal trainer Naqam Washington shared an image on social media of himself training with star Charlie Cox and Wilson Bethel, which isn't that big of a deal. However, it's what Washington captioned the photo with that seemingly confirms Bullseye for Daredevil Season 3. The post is tagged with both Daredevil and Bullseye, which almost certainly means that Bethel is taking on the role.
It was previously revealed that Wilson Bethel was cast for Season 3 of Daredevil in November of 2017. But, it was believed at the time that the actor was portraying a mystery FBI agent. It was clear that Marvel and Netflix had brought Bethel on for a villainous role, but it just wasn't clear which one it would be. Fan speculation was under the impression that he was going to be playing Sin-Eater, but it looks like Daredevil Season 3 will feature a version of Bullseye that might be an undercover FBI agent to hunt down Daredevil.
Neither Marvel or Netflix has confirmed the news that Daredevil Season 3 will feature Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, but it certainly looks that way. Naqam Washington may have let a pretty big cat out of the bag, and as of this writing, the post has been taken down. This is huge news for fans of the Netflix series who have been waiting for any kind of news revolving around Season 3 of the hit show. A new villain has been teased and it's been announced that the show will premiere before the end of the year, it's been a good few days for fans of the show.
The Daredevil Season 3 announcement means that each member of the Defenders will have new episodes of their respective standalone series on Netflix at various times in 2018. While no release date has been announced, it seems likely that the show will premiere in either November of December of this year since Iron Fist Season 2 premieres on September 7th. We're all still waiting for the confirmation that The Punisher will return this year as well. However, since Daredevil is closing out the year, it seems unlikely that the Jon Bernthal-starring show will be back this year. Instead, early next year seems more plausible at this point in time.
