Hulu has released the NSFW Crossing Swords trailer. The new animated series comes from the creative team that introduced the world to Robot Chicken. That should be enough for curious viewers to know when contemplating checking out this new series in June. In addition to being NSFW, the medieval stop-motion animation series also looks completely absurd in a good way. While live-action productions are shut down at the moment, the animation business seems to be going pretty strong.

Crossing Swords centers on Patrick, who is a good hearted peasant. He lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle, but his dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet's nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick's valor made him the black sheep in his family, and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell. War, murder, full frontal nudity - who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives? This series is definitely for fans of Robot Chicken.

Hulu is advertising Crossing Swords as a new edgy comedy. The trailer certainly lives up to that, as we see the Queen's "fun dungeon" and learn about naked peg people. It's all here on display with a lot of the same aesthetics from Robot Chicken. Hulu, along with the other streaming services have been seeing a huge uptick in business over the past several weeks, thanks to the world's current situation. Since just about everybody could use a laugh at the moment, Crossing Swords is coming at the perfect time.

As for stop-motion animation, Crossing Swords is the second series Hulu has hosted. Solar Opposites is the first. Justin Roiland, the co-creator and voice artist of Rick and Morty, is responsible for Solar Opposites. That particular series follows an alien family which has to adjust to life on Earth. Both shows feature a main character who is considered to be "normal," and has to go through the crazy life on Earth. Regardless, Crossing Swords looks like something comedy fans can look forward to while being stuck indoors.

The voice cast of Crossing Swords includes Nicholas Hoult, Adam Ray, Tara Strong, Tony Hale, Luke Evans, Seth Green, Alanna Ubach, Adam Pally, Yvette-Nicole Brown, Maya Erskine, Breckin Meyer, and Wendi McClendon-Covey. The show was created and written by John Harvatine IV and Tom Root (Executive Producers of Robot Chicken). John Harvatine IV serves as the director. Hulu has set the release date for June 12th, and all 10 episodes will be available on that day. You can check out the trailer for Crossing Swords above, thanks to the Hulu YouTube channel. The trailer is NSFW, so consider yourself warned. Even if you're working from home, it's not really something little kids really need to be seeing, even though it looks like it was made for them.
