The ArrowVerse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths is all set to feature LaMonica Garrett as The Anti-Monitor. We now have our first look image at the villain. The highly anticipated television event is all set to debut in December and go through January with this year's crossover set to blow every other installment out of the water in terms of its massive scale. Characters from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Black Lightning are all set to appear alongside a ton of special guest stars.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will follow the comic book source material, but it's unclear how closely the TV adaptation will match the original. With that being said, the producers have made it their goal to honor the source material, which sounds like a huge task. Arrowverse executive producer Greg Berlanti had this to say about the upcoming crossover event and its relationship to the comics.

"I never feel anything other than a sense of responsibility. Whenever we do an iconic story line or we do something that reminds us really vividly of one of those books that meant a lot to us, we have a sense of pressure and obligation of 'Oh wow, we really don't want to mess this up' even more so than we usually do. So that fear overrides any kind of other emotion."

In addition, Greg Berlanti says, "It's the closest I ever feel to being a kid again, without a doubt. You just get the same sensation, and you didn't even realize that you locked it up and put it away," when talking about the chance to make Crisis on Infinite Earths become a reality on the small screen. It's something that DC fans don't take lightly and this event has been hyped up pretty big for this year. There's still a lot that is being kept under wraps.

LaMonica Garrett is set to play both the Anti-Monitor and the heroic Monitor in the Crisis on Infinite Earths event. The character has already shown up in the Arrowverse more than once previously and even showed up last week to inform Barry Allen of some grim news. The Monitor appeared in last week's season 6 premiere of The Flash and revealed to Allen that he will die during the Crisis. However, he will be saving billions of lives because of his heroic sacrifice.

Crisis on Infinite Earths starts off with Supergirl on Sunday, December 8th, which is then followed by Batwoman on Monday, December 9th. From there, the event will go to The Flash on Tuesday, December 10th before taking a winter break. The crossover is all set to continue on Tuesday, January 14th, with Arrow and then conclude with Legends of Tomorrow after the Arrow episode on the 14th. DC fans have a lot to look forward to and thankfully, the wait is nearly over. You can check out the first image of The Anti-Monitor below, thanks to Entertainment Weekly.
