ABC's Cougar Town is one of the many shows on the dreaded bubble for a renewal next season, but there may still be life for the series on another network. TBS is in early discussions with ABC for a two-season pickup of Cougar Town, at 15 episodes per season.

If a deal is made, that would push the comedy series into its fifth season, which would also ensure it would be sold into syndication. It is said that negotiations are ongoing, and a deal could be announced as early as next week.

Cougar Town has had a fairly rough Season 3 after being benched until mid-February and losing its coveted post-Modern Family to both Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23.

The network's entire Wednesday night comedy block, which also includes The Middle and Suburgatory, is expected to return intact next season, although Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23 would likely have to move to a new date if it is picked up. If Cougar Town moves to TBS, it is possible Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23 may move to the Tuesday 8:30 PM time slot which Cougar Town currently occupies.
