The Cobra Kai Season 2 official teaser has just dropped and there's a lot to take in. However, old fans of The Karate Kid are more than likely about to get really excited to see the return of John Kreese (Martin Kove) as he utters those famous words again: "Finish him." Kreese doesn't shout it like he does in the original movie, but it's just as effective and it's features a new cover of Bananarama's hit "Cruel Summer," which was used in the original movie too.

The Cobra Kai Season 2 teaser begins with Johnny Lawrence watching TV and finding out that his rival, Daniel LaRusso, has started a free dojo across town, where money isn't the point. It's a direct blow to Lawrence's business and way of life. As seen in Season 1, LaRusso and Lawrence have basically switched places, with LaRusso starting to lose sight of his teachings from Mr. Miyagi. You can read the official synopsis below.

"Season 2 brings fans back into the action with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) after the shocking Season 1 cliffhanger featuring the return of John Kreese (Martin Kove). When a new rivalry between opposing dojos is born in the aftermath of Cobra Kai's controversial win at the All Valley Championships, Daniel realizes his next countermove is to open his own karate training school called Miyagi-Do, in honor of his mentor Mr. Miyagi."

Even though Johnny Lawrence is trying to right his wrongs from the past, Cobra Kai Season 2 teases that the return of John Kreese may see him slipping back into his old ways. Even with the Season 1 cliffhanger, one could tell that Lawrence was unsure of what to make of the return of his old sensei. One thing is for sure, and that is that everything has been ramped up for Season 2, even Hawk's trademark mohawk is bigger.

The first season of YouTube Premium's Cobra Kai brought us all up to speed on what the characters from The Karate Kid are doing 34 years after the now legendary All Valley Karate Championship. Decades later, Johnny Lawrence gets the Cobra Kai dojo back up and running with new pupil Miguel (Xolo Mariduena). Daniel LaRusso is shaken by the return of the Cobra Kai dojo and starts training again. La Russo's pupil just happens to be Robby (Tanner Buchanan), who he later finds out is Johnny's estranged teenage son.

The Cobra Kai Season 2 teaser does everything that a good teaser should, meaning that we all want more. With that being said, the wait is nearly over. All of the episodes will be available to stream exclusively on YouTube Red starting April 24, which means that the end of April is going to be pretty epic with Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones Season 8, and Cobra Kai Season 2.
