Cobra Kai Season 2 is looking to kick things into high gear with the latest trailer. Sensei John Kreese is back and declares "Cobra Kai never dies," while also sending Johnny Lawrence through a mirror, which is pretty crazy after not seeing him for so long. It appears Season 1, while excellent, was just setting the tables for the second season. "Cobra Kai is back where it belongs," Lawrence boasts beneath his headband like the old days and concludes by saying, "Back on top." Elsewhere, Daniel LaRusso is trying to figure out a new balance while a legendary rematch is teased.

It looks like Hawk may be taking the old school teachings of sensei John Kreese to heart from a new karate fight scene. Will Johnny Lawrence let John Kreese come back and take everything back to the way it used to be, or will he continue his good guy story arc? That is unclear at this time, but it's looking like having his father figure back in his life is going to end in some confusing times for Lawrence this season, especially since his son is still training with Daniel LaRusso at Miyagi Dojo.

The beef between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso has been ramped up considerably in Cobra Kai Season 2. The trailer ends with a short fight scene between the two, but it is unclear how far it goes. After the wreckage of Season 1, there's a lot for the two men to revisit after nearly becoming friends. In addition to the returning cast, there's also some newcomers to the Miyagi Dojo and Cobra Kai who are going to be taking things to the next level.

Cobra Kai Season 2 features Tory, who is played by actress Peyton List. Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) seems to be into Tory, even after she takes him down pretty hard on the mat. There's also a new romance forming between Samantha (Mary Mouser) and Robby (Tanner Buchanan), which will add a whole other level of drama to the series. While everything looks great and has the feeling of The Karate Kid, it's really the final moment in the trailer where Johnny and Daniel are getting ready for their long-awaited rematch.

Cobra Kai Season 2 premieres Wednesday, April 24th, exclusively on YouTube Premium. The show was huge for the streaming platform last year and this season is expected to do the same.
