Christopher Mintz-Plasse joins the CBS pilot Friend Me
Actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse has landed his first major TV role as a lead in the CBS pilot Friend Me.

The story centers on two best friends from Indiana, Evan (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Rob (Nicholas Braun), who move out to Los Angeles to start their new jobs at Groupon. Christopher Mintz-Plasse is currently shooting the CBS Films comedy Get a Job, which also stars Nicholas Braun.

Alan Kirschenbaum (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl) and Ajay Sahgal wrote the pilot script and are executive producing alongside Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum for CBS Studios.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse's only TV appearance was a guest-starring spot on the short-lived Starz comedy Party Down. No production schedule was given for the pilot.
