Last week, we reported that actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse landed his first regular TV gig as one of the leads on CBS' new pilot Friend Me. A few days after that story broke, I was on the set of the CBS Films comedy Get a Job, which stars Christopher Mintz-Plasse and the other lead on Friend Me, Nicholas Braun.

The series centers on two best friends from the Midwest, who move out to Los Angeles for their new jobs at Groupon. We got to chat with both actors together over lunch, and Nicholas Braun chimed in first about how their work on Get a Job lead into this pilot.

"It came together really fast. Him and I, basically, the first day we started working on this, we fell in love, and realized we wanted to do every single job together. But really, it's a great show. Hopefully, it will be a show. Right now it's a pilot, and it's about two best friends who move out to L.A. from Indiana. The world is completely unknown, and they don't know what's going to happen."

Christopher Mintz-Plasse revealed his character, Evan, still misses his Midwest hometown.

"I'm kind of intimidated by it all. I like to stay inside and Skype with my friends and my ex-girlfriend from Indiana, and this guy wants to go out and meet people. That's kind of the twist of the show."

Nicholas Braun's Rob, though, keeps trying to get Evan to experience their new environment.

"I'm trying to get him out of the house, and he just won't budge. Then some things happen and it gets a little crazy."

It isn't known when production will start on the pilot, or, if it is picked up to series, when it may debut on CBS.
