Thor and Thor: The Dark World star Jaimie Alexander is moving to the small screen, signing on to star in the NBC pilot Blindspot. The actress will play Jane Doe, who climbs out of a duffel bag in New York City's Central Park. She becomes the center of an investigation since all of her memories are gone, and she has no clue about what the extensive tattoos all over her body mean.

The FBI begins to follow the "roadmap" of clues tattooed on her body, as they begin to unravel a large conspiracy while trying to determine her identity. Martin Gero, who wrote and produced for Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate Universe, wrote the pilot episode, which will be directed by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road). Warner Bros. Television and Greg Berlanti Productions are producing the pilot.

Jaimie Alexander will reprise her role as Lady Sif from Thor and Thor: The Dark World on the March 10 episode of ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Ironically, that episode will featuring her Asgardian warrior Sif waking up on Earth, with no memory of how she got there. She also has a major recurring role on HBO's upcoming comedy series The Brink, and the actress recently wrapped the indie drama Broken Vows alongside Wes Bentley. While it hasn't been confirmed, the actress will likely return as Sif in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok, arriving in theaters November 5, 2017.
