Excuse me may we have your attention please, will the real...oh sorry about that. In his first role since 2002 in the huge hit Eight Mile, Eminem is set to return to acting only this time he will playing a roll far different than his previous one.

In the new show which is set to debut on September 26th on Starz Eminem will take on the roll of White Boy Rick in the new show Black Mafia Family, which is directed by good friend and fellow rapper 50 Cent.

The 48-year-old rapper is ready to play Rick Wershe Jr, aka White Boy Rick - a man who became an FBI informant in his teens before landing himself in jail.

Richard Wershe Jr was known as White Boy Rick" became a Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) informant when he was 14 -16 years old. When he was 15, Wershe told the FBI that a major drug dealer had spoken of paying a bribe to Detroit detective inspector and city council president/mayoral candidate Gil Hill in order to squash the investigation into a 13 year old boy's murder. At 17 years old Wershe was arrested for possession of 8 kg of cocaine. In 2017 justice campaigners publicized Wershe's case and he was paroled, but directly to a prison in Florida to serve another five years for an auto theft conviction from 2008. Campaigners for Wershe have suggested to reporters that the length of his incarceration may have been connected to him having provided the FBI with information leading to the arrest of family members and associates of former Detroit mayor Coleman A. Young, as well as the allegation about Young's political ally Hill. In 2016 a notorious former Detroit hitman alleged Hill had once tried to commission the murder of Wershe.

In a recent statement to Curtis Jackson (50 Cent,) said: "I'm honoured and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show BMF." "We couldn't do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem."

Recently Jackson also posted a tweet in which he said he'd used the same 'de-aging' technology used in Martin Scorsese's The Irishman to take the rapper 'back to his teenage years'.

Black Mafia Family is based on the story of brothers , Demetrius 'Big Meech' and Terry 'Southwest T' Flenory, who were well-known on the streets of Detroit during the 1980s. The two brothers would go on to create one of the biggest crime families in not only Detroit but the US.

The connection between these two stories goes deeper than most people understand and even know about. Jackson say's that the story needs to be told as it is a part of history for the city of Detroit and shows a look into the lives of so many during that period of the United States.

Jackson is no stranger to TV either as his show Power was highly rated for the six years it was also featured on the Starz network.
