Shannen Doherty is reuniting with her Beverly Hills 90210 cast members for the new revival series on Fox. The official title of the six-episode limited series is BH90210 and it will see the surviving cast members together on the screen for the first time in quite a while. It was believed Luke Perry was going to try and make a cameo on the series, but he sadly passed away last month after suffering a massive stroke.

Shannen Doherty is joining Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling as they play heightened versions of themselves. The cast will reportedly get back together for a reboot series on the show after 19 years. One cast member will float the idea and the show will focus on trying to get everybody together to pull it off. You can read a synopsis for the revival series below.

"What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast - whom the whole world watched grow up together - attempts to continue from where they left off?"

While Luke Perry hadn't officially signed on to the Beverly Hills, 90210 revival series, it is believed the show will pay tribute to the late actor. The actors will all be executive producers on the show and there is only six episodes planned at this time, though there could be more down the line if the initial run is a success. Bringing Shannen Doherty on board is definitely going to bring a lot more eyes to the project, which already had a huge amount of hype surrounding it.

Shannen Doherty starred as Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1994, when she was famously fired. Her character was written off and sent to study abroad in London. Doherty had a reputation for being notoriously difficult to work with and that led to tensions amongst the rest of the cast. The actress did reprise her Brenda role in the CW's 90210 reboot, which aired from 2008 to 2013. It seems she may have had a change of heart about reuniting with her former castmates.

BH90210 will air on Fox this summer, but an official release date has not been announced at this time. Whatever the case may be, the excitement level for the movie has just grown quite a bit. Hopefully we'll see some official pictures of the cast as production nears. It's also going to be interesting to see how they will pay tribute to Luke Perry when the show premieres. The BH90210 idea was created by Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini, who also worked on the CW's 90210 reboot and on Tori Spelling's series So Notorious. Deadline was the first to announce the Shannen Doherty and Beverly Hills, 90210 news.
