Beverly Hills, 90210 is back, and ahead of its premiere on August 7, Fox has released the opening credits sequence for BH90210. Although the intro doesn't give us any clips to examine or plot details to infer, the opening credits set the tone for the upcoming series as pure Beverly Hills, 90210.

In homage to the original, each episode will kick off to the same upbeat tune and the infamous 90's head turns. The cast playfully reunites against a white backdrop, and of course each of them gets their titled close-up, just like the BH90210 fans would want. The main cast members are introduced in alphabetical order, which the intro makes clear. Gabrielle Carteris who originally played Andrea Zuckerman, Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Brian Austin Green (David Silver), Jason Priestley (Bradon Walsh), Tori Spelling (Donna Martin) and Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders) bring their own personality to the screen in this small piece of the new series.

However, the stars will not be reprising the roles they had played nearly 20 years ago. Instead, the creators have found a way to capitalize on the wave of reboots and revivals without quite doing either. The series will feature the cast members playing heightened versions of themselves who have joined together once again to discuss a possible revival of the Beverly Hills, 90210 show. The meta concept will see the actors exploring completely scripted content and fictitious characters while possibly commenting on the experience of being an actor on such a monumental piece of pop culture. Fox's official description reads:

"Having gone their separate ways since the series Beverly Hills, 90210 ended 19 years ago, the cast reunites at a 30th anniversary fan convention in Las Vegas, causing old flames, feuds and feelings to reignite. At the end of the weekend, Tori suggests that they get a 90210 reboot off the ground."

The revival comes to us from stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling alongside Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler. Aside from the core cast members, we can also expect to see even more familiar faces. Carol Potter is expected to make an appearance reprising her role as Cindy Walsh, Priestly and Doherty's onscreen mother. Christine Elise appeared in a dozen or so episodes of the original as Emily Valentine and is expected to make a guest appearance in the revival-with-a-twist. As will Denise Richards who briefly appeared as Kelly's (Garth) cousin.

Seeing as the characters are entirely fictionalized, we will get a slew of newcomers to the series. La La Anthony (Power) will play Green's love interest in the series, Shay. Vanessa Lachey (Dads) will recur as a high-powered publicist and wife of Jason Priestly, Camille. Nate, ex-hockey player, would-be sportscaster and husband to Spelling will be played by Ivan Sergei (Mother May I Sleep With Danger). Other reported guest stars include Karis Cameron, Evan Roderick, David Cubitt, Brad Bergeron, Destiny Millns, Jenna Rosenow and Alie Liebert.
