Earlier this month, we reported that Disney Channel is moving forward with a sequel to the 1990s TV series Boy Meets World, entitled Girl Meets World. Today, it has been confirmed that Boy Meets World stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga. The on-screen couple were married in the Boy Meets World series finale in 2000.

The series picks up several years later, following Cory and Topanga's 13-year-old daughter Riley. We also reported that Cory is also Riley's 7th grade history teacher. No details were given for Topanga's character yet. The duo also have a 14-year-old son named Elliot, who enjoys bossing his kid sister around. Producers are also searching for actresses to play Riley and her best friend Maya, who is described as "darker and less trusting" than Riley.

Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs wrote the pilot script and will executive produce. The pilot is still in early stages of development.
