If you've been following the WWE and/or Arrow star Stephen Amell's social media profiles this summer, you may have noticed that the actor and WWE Superstar Stardust, a.k.a. Cody Runnels, have had an ongoing feud. It seems this online war of words will culminate next week on WWE's Monday Night RAW, where Stephen Amell will appear as a "special guest" on Monday, August 10 in Seattle, where he will supposedly confront Stardust. What exactly will happen remains to be seen, but it will surely be entertaining for fans of both the WWE and Arrow.

The "feud" started when Stephen Amell was spotted sitting ringside during a Monday Night RAW event on Memorial Day, when he was confronted by Stardust. This lead to several months of the actor and wrestler calling each other out through social media, and even in the ring. After a victory on Smackdown last month, Stardust stole one of Arrow's catchphrases, telling his opponent that he had "failed this city." The actor has apparently been training for this appearance, admitting that his rousing appearance and speech to the crowd at Comic-Con was his first chance to cut a "WWE-style promo."

Shortly after the actor's appearance on Monday Night RAW, rumors swirled that Stephen Amell would actually step into the ring with Stardust at one of the WWE's biggest pay-per-view events, SummerSlam, which takes place Aug. 23, 2015 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The actor himself shot down rumors, stating that Stardust "wants no piece" of him. Still, given the actor's appearance just a few weeks before SummerSlam, it's possible that a match could be announced at Monday Night RAW next week. The Seattle location of next week's Monday Night RAW is rather convenient, since Stephen Amell is in production on Arrow Season 4 in Vancouver, just a few hours away from Seattle.

This entire "feud" is surely a publicity stunt, but one that could have a great crossover appeal for fans of both shows. Arrow Season 4 is slated to debut in early October, and it surely won't hurt the show to get the word out to pro wrestling fans. Monday Night RAW typically pulls in between 3 million and 4 million viewers a night, which is still more than the 2.8 million that tuned in for the Arrow Season 3 finale back in May. Perhaps they could even announce a crossover, with Cody Runnels coming into Starling City for a guest-starring spot, but that's just speculation at this point.
