After a brief hiatus, The CW Network's hit superhero series The Flash returns with one of its biggest episodes of the season, Legends of Today, airing Tuesday, December 1 at 8 PM ET. This will be the first part of a two-night crossover event with Arrow, which continues tomorrow night with Legends of Yesterday. While fans get ready for tonight's episode, The CW has released two new clips, and two previews featuring new footage and interviews with the cast and crew.

The first clip features Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) teaming up to take down Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), where Barry shows Oliver his new lightning skills for the first time. The second clip features a chained-up Hawkman, trying to explain to Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) that she isn't really Kendra Saunders, but a warrior priestess who has been working with Hawkman for 4,000 years. We also have two featurettes where the cast and crew break down this immense crossover that ties into the midseason spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

In The Flash's second major crossover event with Arrow, Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump) arrives in Central City and sets his sights on Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renee). After Vandal attacks Kendra and Cisco, they turn to Barry for help. Realizing how dangerous Vandal is, Barry takes Kendra to Star City and asks Oliver and team to hide her until he can figure out how to stop Vandal. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when a man with wings AKA Hawkman (guest star Falk Hentschel) shows up and flies off with Kendra. Meanwhile, Harrison develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) to test it out.

The Arrow half of the crossover, Legends of Yesterday, follows Oliver and Barry as they take Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm (John Barrowman) arranges a meeting between Vandal, Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.

The CW announced last week that DC's Legends of Tomorrow will debut on Thursday, January 21 at 8 PM ET on The CW, giving fans three nights in a row of superhero-centric shows. DC's Legends of Tomorrow also stars Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Franz Drameh (Jax Jackson), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), Caity Lotz (White Canary), Brandon Routh (Atom), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) or Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), but it isn't known if any of these stars will be featured in the crossover. Take a look at these new videos to prepare yourself for tonight's half of the Arrow and The Flash crossover, Legends of Today.
