Last month, Arrested Development executive producer Brian Grazer revealed that Season 5 is happening on Netflix, with production to start next January and the episodes slated to air "about four months after" shooting begins. While promoting Archer at Comic-Con this week, actress Jessica Walter revealed a very intriguing detail about how the new season begins. Here's what she had to say at the event.

"They're talking about Arrested Development coming back, so I called Mitchell Hurwitz, our creator, commander-in-chief, brilliant person, and I said, 'What should I say, if I'm asked?' And he said, 'You can tell them that you've been in touch with me, and that Brian Grazer wants to do it, and that, now that Buster has been arrested for the murder of Liza Minnelli, we're very anxious to get this [season] started."

Season 4 of Arrested Development ended with Liza Minnelli's character, Lucille Austero, found in a pool of blood, before her body disappeared. Lucile was the on and off lover of Tony Hale's Buster Bluth, and judging from the actress' comments, it seems Buster has taken the rap for this bloody murder. Whether or not he actually committed the murder or not remains unknown, and will likely be the mystery that the new episodes revolve around.

Brian Grazer confirmed earlier this year that Season 5 will span 17 episodes. It isn't known if the producers will stick to the same format as Season 4, where each episode centered on a specific member of the Bluth family, which was criticized by fans when the season was released on the streaming service last year. Along with this new season, Mitch Hurwitz is also developing another show for Netflix, entitled Flaked, starring Will Arnett. What do you think about these new details?
