Production began earlier this week on Season 2 of American Horror Story, with a slew of new cast members and a few familiar faces returning, including Jessica Lange. Today, we have word that actress Clea DuVall has signed on for a multi-episode arc.
No details were given regarding the actress' new character, although it is believed that she will appear in scenes with Sarah Paulson, who played the medium Billie Dean Howard in Season 1. We know that all of the returning actors will be playing different characters this time around, and it isn't immediately clear who Sarah Paulson is playing this year. The story moves to an East Coast mental institution, run by Jessica Lange's character.
Clea DuVall joins other new cast members such as Chloë Sevigny, Joseph Fiennes, James Cromwell, Chris Zylka, Lizzie Brocheré, Britne Oldford, and Adam Levine. Other actors returning from Season 1 are Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe.
FX hasn't announced when American Horror Story Season 2 will premiere yet.
