The first poster for American Horror Story season 10 has been unveiled. Series creator Ryan Murphy posted the new image on social media, which seems to tease a seaside mystery. When Murphy announced the full cast a few weeks ago, it was accompanied by Orville Peck's "Dead of Night," which has a twangy surf-sounding guitar. The music and cast were all placed over a video of small waves crashing on a beach, which would assume some kind of beach setting for the highly anticipated season 10.

The American Horror Story season 10 poster continues the seaside vibes and adds a terrifying touch. The focus is on a pair of hands, which seem to be clawing their way up a bluff with the ocean in the background. The caption underneath the poster reads, "Things are beginning to wash up on shore..." Ryan Murphy did not offer up any other information about the long-running FX series or what the next season will be about. For now, it looks like the ocean will be involved at some point.

As for the full cast of American Horror Story season 10, it includes a lot of familiar faces, along with a pretty surprising brand-new one. Macaulay Culkin is taking on a lead role in the upcoming season, though no further details were given. However, it really doesn't matter since getting Culkin on the show is a pretty big deal all by itself. Fans should be happy to know that long-time American Horror Story stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, neither of whom appeared in season 9, are returning for season 10. Paulson previously revealed that she was coming back, but could not offer up any other details, other than the fact that Ryan Murphy gave her permission to announce that she was returning to the franchise. The two work together often and many assumed that the actress would be back on board at some point down the line.

American Horror Story season 10 will also star Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, and Adina Porter. Back in January of this year, FX announced that the hit horror anthology series had been renewed for three more seasons, continuing the show through at least season 13. Whether or not there's more after that remains to be a mystery, but at least fans know that there's still a lot more on the horizon. Season 9 was received well by fans and critics and there is quite a bit of hype surrounding the mysterious season 10.

No premiere date for American Horror Story season 10 has been announced yet. It seems Ryan Murphy is starting to get a little antsy, so we'll probably receive that information in the coming weeks. Hopefully we'll get some more cryptic teases like the cast announcement and the first poster to keep speculation running strong.
