Fox has issued a "put pilot commitment" for a series based on Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's celebrated graphic novel League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. "Put pilot" status means the project is almost guaranteed to make it to series, since the network will have to pay a penalty if it never airs. Here is the project's official logline.

"A drama series based on Alan Moore's critically and commercially successful graphic novel series about a group of Victorian-age literary characters, including Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who team up to fight a common enemy."

Michael Green (Green Lantern) wrote the pilot script and will serve as executive producer and showrunner if Fox issues a series order. Michael Green previously served as showrunner and executive producer on Kings, Heroes, and The River. Erwin Stoff is also attached to executive produce.

The graphic novel was previously adapted for the big screen with 2003's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which starred Sean Connery, Peta Wilson, Stuart Townsend, and Shane West.
