Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on a midseason hiatus, with Marvel's Agent Carter currently filling in for the series until it returns on Tuesday, March 3 with the midseason premiere, "Aftershocks". Today, Marvel released a new trailer for the show's first 2015 episode, which showcases Skye's powerful new abilities. If you didn't watch December's midseason finale, "What They Become", there will be some spoilers below, so read on at your own risk.

"What They Become" revealed Skye's true identity is Daisy Johnson, also known as Quake in the Marvel comic book universe, who is one of the Inhumans. The Inhumans were teased early on in Season 2, with many fans wondering how their presence on the show will set up Marvel Phase Three adventure Inhumans, which doesn't hit theaters until November 2018. Showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen teased in a December interview with TV Line that they are setting up Skye/Daisy's "origin of a superhero" for the next season and a half.

The back half of Season 2 will also feature a few more new characters, including Blair Underwood as the ex-husband of Agent May (Ming-Na Wen), who helps the team with an incredibly personal mission, Edward James Olmos as Robert Gonzales, whose debut will have a huge impact on the S.H.I.E.L.D. team, and Luke Mitchell as an Inhuman named Lincoln, who helps Skye understand her transformation. Are you excited to see what Skye will be able to do with her Inhuman powers? Check out the trailer below, where it becomes clear that Skye cannot control her new abilities, although it remains to be seen how this will affect her dynamic with the team as a whole.
