Following the first trailer that debuted back in February, Cinemax has released six new trailers for their upcoming drama series The Knick, slated to debut Friday, August 8 at 10 PM ET on Cinemax with the series premiere. Clive Owen stars as Dr. John W. Thackery, a surgeon at New York's The Knickerbocker Hospital in 1900, one of the revolutionary surgeons who pushes the bounds of medicine in a time before antibiotics. Take a look at the latest footage before this new period drama series from executive producer Steven Soderbergh debuts later this summer.

Set in downtown New York in 1900, The Knick centers on Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff, who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. The writing team of Jack Amiel and Michael Begler (Raising Helen, Big Miracle), who wrote the pilot for the series, will serve as executive producers, along with Steven Soderbergh, Clive Owen, Michael Sugar (Rendition) and Gregory Jacobs (Behind the Candelabra).
