NBCUniversal has released the trailer for the 30 Rock reunion episode. The world is in need of some good laughs and the gang is (virtually) back together again to deliver them in the special Upfront event, which premieres next week The one-hour episode is a one-off, so we don't expect to see everybody getting back together again (virtually or not) for another episode in the near future, though that would be a great gift to fans. For now, we'll just have to be happy with the one-hour special.

Last month, NBCUniversal announced the 30 Rock Upfront event. Beloved characters from the original series including Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan), Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski), Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer), and more have come back for the event. Everybody is present in the hilarious teaser, which sees Baldwin's Jack Donaghy slap Fey's Lemon in the face with the power of his iPhone 40. Elsewhere, we see Lemon wearing a mask with her face on it and Morgan's Jordan character screaming into a phone. It doesn't look like the crew has skipped a beat since we last saw them together in 2013.

The hour-long, commercial-free event will premiere on NBC Thursday, July 16th at 8/7c and will be rebroadcast across USA Network, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, and CNBC as well as available to stream on Peacock on Friday, July 17th at 9/8c. When the 30 Rock reunion was announced, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock stated, "We're all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC. To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone."

Originally airing on NBC from October 2006 until January 2013, 30 Rock was a fan-favorite sitcom. Over the course of its original run, it won 16 Emmys, including 3 consecutive wins for Outstanding Comedy Series; 7 Golden Globes; 22 Guild Awards among SAG, WGA, DGA and PGA; along with Image, Peabody and AFI Awards. The series is also the record-holder for most Emmy nominations in one season for any comedy series, and received a total of 103 Emmy nominations over the course of its 7 seasons on NBC. In addition, 30 Rock was big when Netflix first started streaming shows and movies, which certainly helped its popularity on the small screen.

The 30 Rock Upfront special will feature guest appearances from talent across its portfolio and platform, and will highlight new and returning programming from NBC, Telemundo, USA Network, SYFY, E!, Bravo, and more, from Entertainment to Sports to News. The special is produced by Broadway Video and Little Stranger, Inc. in association with Universal Television and NBCUniversal Creative Partnerships. Oz Rodriguez (Saturday Night Live) will direct the special. You can watch the trailer for the 30 Rock Upfront special above, thanks to the NBC YouTube channel.
