It has been a very long time coming, but we finally know when and where we will be able to see Young Justice season 3. It was announced recently that DC will be launching their own, currently unnamed "direct-to-consumer" digital content service in 2018. The brand new, long-awaited season of Young Justice, now officially titled Young Justice: Outsiders, is set to debut on the service next year.

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment finally made the announcement recently, giving us a much better idea as to when we will finally be able to see Young Justice season 3. Unfortunately, the announcement didn't come with an exact premiere date, but with the announcement made and work underway, we can expect that it will likely be in early 2018, as opposed to later in the year. Per the DC Entertainment announcement, Young Justice: Outsiders will be airing exclusively on DC's new digital platform. So those of you who have been waiting for new episodes may have to supplement your Netflix account in the near future.

Like the previous season of the series, Young Justice: Outsiders will center on the young heroes of the DC Universe, like Dick Grayson and Aqualad, who are coming of age in a world full of superpowers, supervillains and super secrets. The highly-anticipated new season will see the young heroes facing their toughest challenge yet, as they tackle meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat that it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. It sounds like the scope of Young Justice season 3 will be larger than anything we have seen from the series previously.

In addition to Young Justice: Outsiders, DC's new digital platform will be exclusively airing a live-action Teen Titans series, simply called Titans. This is something that DC fans have been waiting a very long time to hear. It may not be the live-action movie many were hoping it would be, but a serialized show could wind up being much better. It is also interesting that both of these shows will center on younger heroes within the DC Comics universe, as opposed to some of the bigger, more mature heroes. Though, Young Justice did regularly bring in the older heroes in the DC universe, such as Batman, and Titans could do the same.

Not much has been confirmed in the way of returning voice cast for Young Justice season 3, but Khary Payton, who voices Aqualad, recently teased his involvement on social media. It was announced that the new season will be executive produced by Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!), with Brandon Vietti (Superman Doomsday) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels) on as producers as well. Additionally, Phil Bourassa, who previously worked on Young Justice, will serve as art director for the series. We will be sure to keep you up to date as more details on Young Justice: Outsiders become available.
