After coming back from the dead for a third season, the adventures of Young Justice will continue on. As announced during the DC Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the popular animated series has been renewed for season 4. Few details were made available at the time of the announcement, which makes sense given that the show's current season is still wrapping up. But the news should still come to the delight of fans who begged for years for the show to be resurrected.

Producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti were on hand at SDCC to deliver the good news. They screened a new episode from the current season, Young Justice: Outsiders, for the crowd. Not to be outdone by all the other news that was revealed at the panel, the duo announced the continuation of the fan-favorite animated series. Season 4 is already in production. Weisman made the reveal by simply holding up four fingers, while thanking the fans for making it a reality.

"It would not be back without you guys...we are incredibly grateful."

Young Justice originally aired on Cartoon Network for two seasons. Fans absolutely adored the show, but it didn't quite earn the ratings the network needed to keep it on the air. So, tragically, the show was canned, despite the fact that it was, for many, a quality series. Then, when DC Universe started coming together, Warner Bros. stepped in and revived it. Brandon Vietti, taking to Twitter, expressed his gratitude as well.

"It's official! #YoungJustice will be back for a 4th season on DCUniverse! Thanks to everyone who subscribed and supported us! Once again, we are back because of your great efforts! Thank you!!!"

In other news, Titans season 2 was given a premiere date, with the series set to return in September. Perhaps the biggest news of the night came when it was revealed that Doom Patrol has been picked up for a season 2 but, in something of a twist, it will air on both DC Universe and on the upcoming HBO Max streaming service. DC also showcased the first trailer for the Harley Quinn animated series, which is extremely NSFW.

The producers weren't willing to dish out much on season 4. Reportedly, much of the panel centered on them teasing a lot of mysterious secrets and lies for the future. They also promised that Apokolips will be featured more. They also teased that "difficult things" are going to happen to certain characters. Again, they were pretty vague, by accounts.

The voice cast for the series includes Jesse McCartney, Nolan North, Stephanie Lemelin, Jason Spisak, Zehra Fazal, Troy Baker, Khary Payton, Alyson Stoner, Jason Marsden, Vanessa Marshall, Marina Sirtis, Mark Rolston, Kelly Hu and Bruce Greenwood. It isn't yet clear when Young Justice season 4 will debut, but 2020 seems realistic since it's already in production. To catch up on the first three seasons, head on over to DC Universe.
