When Fox announced their Untitled X-Files Revival is finally happening, we knew right away that original X-Files stars David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) were coming back to reprise their iconic roles. As the weeks and months passed, even more original series stars were confirmed to come back, such as Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), William B. Davis (The Cigarette Smoking Man) and the computer hackers known as The Lone Gunmen, Dean Haglund (Ringo Langly), Tom Braidwood (Frohike) and Bruce Harwood (Byers). Today, TV Line reports that yet another original cast member, Sheila Larken, is coming back to play Scully's mother, Margaret Scully.

Sheila Larken will appear in The X-Files revival's second episode, entitled "Home Again". The episode was previously rumored to be a sequel to the popular Season 4 episode "Home", but that turned out to be false. The initial rumor claimed that "Home Again" will center on a villainous character dubbed "The Band-Aid Nose Man," described as, "intimidating, odd, weary, creepy and immeasurably strong," who is said to be a "thought" that came to life." That character was never confirmed, but it's possible that the episode's title is actually a reference to Scully reconnecting with her mother.

Sheila Larken appeared in 16 episodes of the original X-Files, last appearing in the Season 9 episode "Provenance". The 74-year-old actress actually hasn't acted in any other movies or TV shows since that episode aired 13 years ago. It isn't known when the actress will actually film her role, with production still under way in Vancouver. The "Home Again" episode is slated to air Monday, January 25 on Fox, one day after the series premiere airs on Sunday, January 24, after the NFC Championship Game.

New cast members include Joel McHale as news anchor Tad O'Malley, who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder and Annet Mahendru as Sveta, a woman who, according to a report from earlier today, was abducted by aliens and is the "key to everything". Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose also star as FBI agents Miller and Einstein. Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani have also joined the cast but their roles have yet to be identified.

It's worth noting that there are two more characters from the original series, Robert Patrick's John Doggett and Annabeth Gish's Monica Reyes, who have been rumored to come back, but their involvement has yet to be confirmed.
