As the countdown continues towards The Walking Dead Season 8, 17 new photos have surfaced that give us a closer look at all of the most important characters in the zombie apocalypse. These arrive along with an official All Out War poster featuring all of our favorites. No matter which side these characters are on, they're all preparing for the All-Out War that kicked off in the Season 7 finale, when members of The Kingdom and the Hilltop Colony came to fight for Rick and the Alexandria community, as they drove back Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors. While these photos don't exactly reveal any major plot points, if you aren't caught up with the series through Season 7, there may be some SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

The photos come courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, with the first image featuring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) together, as they get ready to battle the Saviors. Rick and Michonne have been romantically linked ever since the group first found Alexandria in Season 5, and now they'll be fighting side by side against Negan. Last season was particularly hard on the couple, since there were a few instances where they thought they lost each other, but it has only made them stronger than ever.

The photos also include some individual shots of both Rick and Michonne, both wielding their signature weapons, along with a shot of both Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) standing side-by-side. For the past few seasons, there have been a group of fans that have been quite vocal about expressing their desire to see Daryl and Carol hook up, but with presumably the entire season following the massive All Out War story, which spanned two volumes in the comics, there simply may not be time for this romance to flourish between all of the battles.

We also get another look at their enemy, Negan, leader of The Saviors, Chandler Riggs as Rick's one-eyed son Carl, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Lennie James as Morgan, who is still suited up in his "armor" from The Kingdom. The final photos feature Austin Amelio as Dwight, Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis, Ross Maquand as Aaron, Steven Ogg as Simon, a group shot of Negan, Dwight and Eugene (Josh McDermitt), a group shot of Carol, Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Tara (Alanna Masterson) and Michonne, and individual shots of Daryl and Carol.

Last season, Rick Grimes and his group of survivors were confronted with their deadliest challenge yet. With the comfort of Alexandria, they let their guard down, only to be reminded how brutal the world they live in can be. Feeling powerless under Negan's rules and demands, Rick advocated the group play along. But seeing that Negan couldn't be reasoned with, Rick began rallying together other communities affected by the Saviors. And with the support of the Hilltop and Kingdom, they finally have enough fire power to contest the Saviors. This season, Rick brings 'All Out War' to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless, but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive. Up until now, survival has been the focus of Rick and our group, but it's not enough. They have to fight to take back their freedom so that they can live. So that they can rebuild. As with any battle, there will be losses. Casualties. But with Rick leading the Alexandrian forces, Maggie leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel leading the Kingdom, Negan and the Saviors' grip on this world may finally be coming to an end. Take a look at these new photos from Entertainment Weekly below, as we get ready for The Walking Dead Season 8.
