Negan Drags Daryl Back to Alexandria in New Walking Dead Clip
We haven't seen Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the survivors in Alexandria since the Season 7 premiere, when they were told by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) that they have a week to round up items to give to his group The Saviors. The second episode introduced fans to The Kingdom and its leader King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and last week's episode took us to The Saviors' compound, known as The Sanctuary. Today we have a new clip from the fourth Season 7 episode, Service, airing Sunday, November 13 at 9 PM ET on AMC, which shows the return of Negan.
We saw in the preview for Sunday's episode that Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Spencer (Austin Monroe) were about to leave Alexandria to find items for Negan and the Saviors, but just before they were about to leave, Negan and several saviors arrived at the Alexandria gate. This new clip, which comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, shows Rick meeting Negan at the gate, with a slightly defiant Rick telling Negan that he said he'd be back in a week, and he's early. Apparently, Negan "misses" Rick, as we see a group of Saviors behind him, including Dwight (Austin Amelio) and the captive Daryl (Norman Reedus).
Unfortunately, the clip ends just before Negan is about to give some sort of speech, with Negan stating that today is a "big day." We do know, however, that this episode will be 90 minutes long. It's worth noting that, since the brutal season premiere, where both Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) were killed, we haven't lost any main characters yet, but with Negan returning to Alexandria in a 90-minute episode, that may change this Sunday.
It will be interesting to see if any of the Alexandrians react to Daryl's fate, as he's seen standing next to Dwight. Last week's episode focused almost exclusively on Daryl, and the methods used by Negan and Dwight to "break" him as a captive of the Saviors. It's possible that this entire episode will be set in Alexandria, something that hasn't happened all season, but we won't know for sure until Sunday night.
Last week, actress Lauren Cohan teased that her character Maggie is seeking vengeance against the nefarious Negan this season, after the Saviors leader killed her husband. With Negan now coming into Alexandria, it's possible that Maggie might attempt something in this episode, but nothing has been confirmed yet. While we continue the countdown towards Sunday night's episode, take a look at this new clip from The Walking Dead Season 7 episode Service.
