'Things are going to get worse!' Warns Morgan as zombies encroach on the safe heaven of Alexandria in a new The Walking Dead Season 6 trailer. This latest sneak peek dropped last night during the penultimate episode of Fear the Walking Dead Season 1, which will air its season finale next Sunday. This will make way for the return of all-new The Walking Dead episodes on October 11.

'We have to come for them before they come for us.' Season 5 of The Walking Dead saw our group being formed into consummate survivors by the world around them... nearly making some of them into villains. To make it as far as they have - to have persevered through all of their heartbreaking challenges - they have evolved into incredibly powerful people. But who have they become? The last five episodes of Season 5 answered that question with Rick accepting an approach of unapologetic brutality in murdering Pete, a fellow Alexandrian.

The Walking Dead Season 6 starts with Alexandria's safety shattered by multiple threats. To make it, the people of Alexandria will need to catch up with our survivors' hardness, while many of Rick's people will need to take a step back from the violence and pragmatism they've needed to embrace. These reversals won't happen easily, or without conflict. But now, Rick's group is fighting for something more than survival... They're fighting for their home, and they will defend that at any cost, against any threat, even if that threat comes from within.

The Walking Dead cast includes Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa Suzanne McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer. The Walking Dead Season 6 will also feature newcomers Ethan Embry as Carter, Corey Hawkins as Heath and Emmy-winner Merritt Wever as Dr. Denise Cloyd. The show has cast Tom Payne as the popular comic book character Paul Monroe, a.k.a. Jesus. The actor will have a recurring role in Season 6, with an option for the inevitable Season 7, but it isn't known when exactly he will debut this season. The casting of this character could very well pave the way for the introduction of the long-awaited villain Negan.

Based on the comic created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard, The Walking Dead will return for another 16-episode season following the completion of its companion/prequel series Fear the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead Season 6 premieres Sunday, October 11 with a 90-minute episode featuring more than 650 walkers, which will be a series record! Is there a series your looking towards more this fall?
