She's a force to be reckoned with! Katheryn Winnick returns as a shield maiden in Vikings, which had its Season 3 premiere last week. Not only that, Katheryn will soon be starring alongside Gerard Butler, Ed Harris and Andy Garcia in the thriller Geostorm, which hits theaters in 2016. To find out more about her upcoming projects, we caught up with this force of nature herself.

The Canadian-born Katheryn Winnick stars in History's breakout cable TV series Vikings as Lagertha. The gripping family saga tells the extraordinary tales of the lives and epic adventures of these warriors and portrays life in the Dark Ages, a world ruled by raiders and explorers, through the eyes of Viking society. The new ten-episode season begins with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) as King and follows the great responsibility that now rests on the shoulders of the former farmer. New characters will be introduced, as alliances and loyal friendships are questioned, faith is catechized and relationships are strained.

Check out our exclusive interview with Katheryn Winnick, who delves into the new aspects of her character. Lagertha is no longer married to Ragnar, and must set out on her own. We also get to discuss Katheryn Winnick's early start in horror movies, specifically the cult hit Satan's Little Helper. But first, we kick things off by asking Winnick about her campaign to play Carol Danvers in the upcoming superhero movie Captain Marvel.
