With exactly one month left until the Vice Principals Season 2 premiere, HBO has released yet another trailer with even more footage. This hit comedy series was given an 18-episode order back in 2014, which was split into two nine-episode seasons, with this second season, debuting on September 17, wrapping the entire story up. If you haven't watched the first season quite yet, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

The Vice Principals Season 1 finale ended in quite the shocking fashion, after Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Walton Goggins) got promoted to co-principals, succeeding in their mission to oust Principal Belinda Brown (Kimberly Hebert). But at the very end of the season, a masked assailant tried to kill Gamby in the North Jackson High School parking lot. The new trailer that debuted on HBO YouTube shows that Gamby is milking his injury for all its worth, using a mechanized "stair chair" to get up and down the stairs in the Liptrapp household.

However, when he returns to North Jackson High, he's hailed as a hero, with Gamby noticing that one of the security guards is wearing a red ribbon, which Gamby assumes is for some kind of "titty cancer awareness," but he finds out it's actually for him. We also see that Gamby has put together an intricate setup to try and find out who shot him, but he isn't the only one trying to get to the bottom of this case. His former enemy Lee Russell has put together a massive book of suspects who may have shot Neal Gamby, which is comprised of everyone Gamby has ever "crossed." There are also brief snippets of footage that show Gamby testing out his intricate traps placed in the woods for his would-be killer.

There is also an interesting scene with Belinda Brown commenting that everything seemed to have worked out great for Russell, as she presumably tries to paint him as a potential suspect, while another scene shows Amanda Snodgrass (Georgia King) trying to convince Gamby to let her go with him, which is decided on whether Gamby is able to make a no-look basketball shot. There are also a number of cryptic shots that seem to suggest this whole season will come to a head at the prom, including a shot of the mysterious killer wearing the same mask.

Danny McBride and Jody Hill created the hit series and serve as executive producers alongside David Gordon Green, Jonathan Watson and Stephanie Laing. Danny McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green were all the key creative minds behind HBO's earlier hit series, Eastbound & Down, which ran for four seasons on the pay cable network. Danny McBride and Jody Hill also previously collaborated on the hit movie The Foot Fist Way, which Jody Hill directed from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride and Ben Best. Along with the new trailer, we also have a poster for this HBO comedy series, which you can check out below, to get ready for the final season of Vice Principals.
