2019 was the year of TV at San Diego Comic-Con. Some of the biggest shows on the planet either participated in panels, released trailers, or both. Even shows like HBO's absolutely massive Game of Thrones made a stop to answer fan questions and give a little back to the fans that helped make it a global phenomenon. Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance didn't have a new trailer, but fans were treated to an awesome featurette. All in all, it was another excellent year at Comic-Con.

Netflix's upcoming Witcher series was easily one of the biggest trailers of this year's annual event. Fans have been waiting months to see the first footage of Henry Cavill in action and the footage did not disappoint. On the other side of things, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power unveiled its first look at Geena Davis' Huntara character. Rick and Morty brought the absurdity level up quite a few notches and made sure everybody wasn't taking themselves too seriously.

HBO surprised fans with a brand-new Westworld season 3 trailer and things are looking even more confusing.

Ruby Rose sadly wasn't able to attend Comic-Con this year, but Batwoman had a major presence in San Diego and so did Arrow. It's pretty crazy to think about how far the superhero genre has come on the small screen. With that being said, things are only going to get more intense when Disney+ debuts in the fall. We'll be getting the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows like the recently announced Hawkeye, Winter Soldier and Falcon, WandaVision, and Loki.
