truTV is expanding Impractical Jokers, the hit series in which four longtime friends take dares to an outrageous level. The network has not only ordered a 15-episode third season of the series, but also ordered six episodes of no_TV|Jokers After Party, a brand new post-show series featuring Brian Quinn, James Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano chatting about their favorite moments from various episodes.

truTV will kick off the second half of Impractical Jokers Season 2 on Thursday, Aug. 1, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Jokers After Party will premiere following Impractical Jokers when it returns for season three this winter.

News about truTV's Impractical Jokers renewal and Jokers After Party pickup comes as truTV rolls out several promotions with the guys, including a diner takeover in San Diego timed to coincide with Comic-Con, a new comic book from DC Entertainment, free episodes of the show on iTunes and new upgrades to the acclaimed truTV Impractical Jokers App.

Impractical Jokers centers on four longtime friends who dare one another to do ridiculous things in public. They then capture their extreme dares on hidden camera, complete with the unsuspecting public's amused, confused, or flabbergasted reactions. After completing each dare, the guys are given a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down to determine who succeeded under pressure and who collapsed in defeat. At the end of each episode, the guy with the most fails must face a mortifying punishment with truly humiliating consequences.

Impractical Jokers will feature Brian Quinn, James Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano as they chat about their favorite, most uncomfortable and most humiliating moments from the series. The show will give fans the chance to hear all about the behind-the-scenes mishaps and awkward encounters that took place during shooting. It will also feature never-before-seen outtakes.

Throughout July, fans of Impractical Jokers will get the chance to download the guys' favorite episodes free on iTunes. Each week, one of the guys will pick his favorite episode, which will then be available for free download from iTunes. Also included will be a special introduction by the cast member who chose it. Also this month, fans can purchase Volumes 1 and 2 at a special discounted price.

In July, DC Entertainment, home to DC Comics, will unveil a specially created Impractical Jokers comic book, The Secret Origin of truTV's Impractical Jokers. The story will trace the history of Brian Quinn, James Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano, telling the story of how four mild-mannered high-school friends became the superhero pranksters they are today.

Also in July, the four stars of Impractical Jokers will descend upon San Diego as truTV takes over The Broken Yolk Café (355 6th Ave.) timed to coincide with this year's Comic-Con (July 18-21). The diner takeover will offer fans the perfect place to refuel, recharge and have a laugh. Brian Quinn, James Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano will be leaving their mark throughout the café, putting their hilarious take on everything from the menus to the bathroom stalls. But fortunately, they won't be doing any of the cooking.

Giveaways throughout the weekend will include buttons, shirts, key chains and the new Impractical Jokers comic book from DC Entertainment. And on Saturday, the guys are scheduled to show up in person to meet fans and sign copies of their comic book. Also available at The Broken Yolk Café during truTV's takeover will be special no-fee ATMs, charging stations and a photo booth.

NOTE: truTV's Impractical Jokers takeover of The Broken Yolk Café is not affiliated with Comic-Con.
