Hey there kids. Brian Gallagher here with this week's look at all of the week's news that wasn't fit for print. There's a lot to get to this week so let's take a look at a funny little tidbit from the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation:

Ron Swanson's Pyramid of Greatness From Parks and Recreation - via The New York Times

It's almost here! I was very glad that NBC renewed the wonderful comedy series Parks and Recreation for another season, but I was very non-glad that they pushed the Season 3 debut to January. Now that the wait is finally over, with Season 3 premiering on Thursday, January 20, The New York Times debuted this wonderful poster featuring Nick Offerman's Ron Swanson and his "Pyramid of Greatness." Take a look at this hilarious poster below:

Ron Swanson's Pyramid of Greatness

It would be awesome if they actually showed this hanging up in his office this season with Ron reading from it occasionally when the opportunity presents itself. Even if they don't, though, I'm just very excited one of my favorite comedies is finally back on the air starting next month.

Tron: Legacy-Inspired Swedish Ice Hotel Room - via Vulture

Tron: Legacy will hit theaters next week on December 17 and a hotel in Sweden is capitalizing on the sci-fi movie's buzz in a very unique way. The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden has created a suite inspired by the designs on the upcoming movie and it looks like a pretty damn cool hotel room... literally, since, you know, it's made out of ice. Take a look at some pictures and a brief video of the construction of this hotel room, plus a brief description of the room below below:

Tron: Legacy-Inspired Ice Hotel Room #2

"Inspired by Disney's release of Tron: Legacy Rousseau + I-N-D-J set out to capture the dynamism and essence of the movie at the world famous ICE HOTEL Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. 200km into the Arctic Circle Rousseau + I-N-D-J will create a futuristic ice suite. Using technology never before seen in the Hotels 20 year history THE LEGACY OF THE RIVER will be one of 19 unique ICE suites for the Hotels 20 year anniversary."

This room will be awesome because, in case people become suicidal they can't visit Tron like people got after seeing Avatar, they can just take a quick jaunt over to Sweden. I doubt they will have lightcycles available to ride around Sweden, though...

The Little Drummer Boy by Jack Black and Jason Segel - via College Humor

It is the holiday season and College Humor has brought together comedic actors Jack Black and Jason Segel, who both star in Gulliver's Travels which hits theaters on December 22, for a new holiday rendition of The Little Drummer Boy, animated style. Take a look at this new holiday classic below:

The song is also being sold on tenaciousd.com with all of the proceeds going towards Blue Star Families, an organization that supports military families. Eat your heart out, David Bowie and Bing Crosby...

Chuck Fan Legally Changes His Name to Captain Awesome - via Deadspin

Being a fan of a movie or TV show is one thing, but this might be taking things too far. Deadspin has acquired the petition of an Oregon man and apparently a big Chuck fan named Douglas Allen Smith Jr. who legally changed his name to Captain Awesome. Take a look at the official document below (take particular note of his "signature"...) and read more below:

Captain Awesome Name-Change Document

Hilariously enough, this fan of Ryan McPartlin's Dr. Devon Woodcomb, a.k.a. Captain Awesome on Chuck was actually denied by the first judge who, "questioned his seriousness." So he studied up on name changes at the University of Oregon law school library, tried again and was granted the name change. Here's what Captain Awesome told the newspaper The Register Guard:

"I just thought it was really funny that Devon's father always called him Captain Awesome because 'a poor nickname builds good character."

So... if a poor nickname builds good character, what does changing your actual given name to a TV nickname build? Lunacy?

Fight Club For Senior Citizens - via Geek Tyrant

Have you ever wondered what the 1999 classic Fight Club would be like... if it was senior citizens starring instead of Edward Norton and Brad Pitt? Me neither, but, regardless, Geek Tyrant has discovered the scene where Brad Pitt asks Edward Norton, to hit him as hard as he can... although acted out by two elderly gentlemen. Check out this amusing clip below:

Now, if we had this scene with those annoying eTrade babies, then we'd really have something...
