Netflix and DirecTV are in early negotiations to revive Fox TV Studios' crime drama The Killing. AMC canceled the series due to declining ratings during the season season. A DirectTV spokesperson had this to say about the possible transition.

"We are constantly having conversations about bringing new shows to Audience Network, and we do take a look at everything that is available, but we haven't made any decisions this summer in regards to new programming.

Both companies have shopped for different projects in the past with DirecTV picking up NBC's sports drama Friday Night Lights and Sony's Damages after they were canceled. Meanwhile, Netfilx was in talks to bring back Fox's Terra Nova and ABC's The River. Netflix is reviving the popular comedy series Arrested Development, with new episodes debuting next year.
