Last March, we reported that Nickelodeon is resurrecting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a new animated series. Today, it has been revealed that the show will air its Season 1 Premiere Saturday, September 29 at 11 AM PT.

The series will kick off with two back-to-back episodes to start the 26-episode season. Sean Astin voices the sai-wielding Raphael, Jason Biggs portrays the sword-swinging Leonardo, Greg Cipes plays the nunchuck-flinging Michelangelo, and Rob Paulsen rounds out the cast as the bo staff master Donatello. Supporting cast members include Mae Whitman as April, Hoon Lee as Splinter, and Kevin Michael Richardson as the nefarious Shredder. Take a look at the official series description released by the network.

"Funnier and with more Ninjutsu than ever before, the show will explore the companionship of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes in a half-shell that they are destined to be."
