Star Wars history will be made in just a few short months when Disney and LucasFilm release the first ever franchise spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Fans waiting for the next trailer won't have to wait much longer, with a new report claiming the third and final trailer for Star Wars: Rogue One will be attached to prints of the new Marvel Studios superhero adventure Doctor Strange. While this news hasn't been confirmed, it did originate from a Disney executive, albeit from the company's Russian division.

According to Star Wars News Net, Elena Brodskaya, marketing director of Russian subdivision of Disney, held a presentation at Kino Expo International in St. Petersburg, Russia last week. She outlined details about the studio's slate, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Beauty and the Beast, Moana and Marvel's Doctor Strange, which debuts in Russia on October 28, a few days before its November 4 stateside debut. She also discussed Rogue One, revealing that the studio will keep most of the movie's secrets under wraps until the release date, but she did add that the final trailer will be attached to Doctor Strange.

Since this hasn't been confirmed by the parent company, it's possible that the Rogue One trailer may debut theatrically with a different movie, but it certainly makes the most sense to debut this footage with Doctor Strange. Disney's only other movie hitting theaters between now and Rogue One's December 16 release date is their animated adventure Moana, arriving in theaters November 23. Elena Brodskaya did not address whether or not this footage will arrive online before it's theatrical premiere or not.

The second Star Wars: Rogue One trailer, which debuted in August, gave fans their first look at the iconic Darth Vader, who has long been rumored to return in this adventure. The story follows a group of soldiers who embark on a mission to steal the original Death Star plans. Felicity Jones stars as Jyn Erso, the leader of this group, with a cast that also includes Mads Mikkelsen as her father Galen, Ben Mendelsohn as the villainous Director Krennic, Alan Tudyk as the new droid K-2SO, Diego Luna as Captain Cassian Andor, Forest Whitaker as Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Saw Gerrera, Donnie Yen as Chirrut Imwe, Riz Ahmed as Bodhi Rook and Wen Jiang as Baze Malbus.

Fans have recently been treated to a series of Star Wars: Rogue One short films created by die-hard fans, using new toys that will be available for purchase in just a few short days on September 30, a.k.a. Force Friday. The short films will lead up to a global user-generated content (UGC) contest, where fans can submit their own two-minute videos. Gareth Edwards directs Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is set for release on December 16, going up against Warner Bros.' Collateral Beauty.
