Let's get ready to rumble Star Wars style, because this is the rematch we have all been waiting for! After nearly 20 years, we are finally going to get another showdown between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul on the upcoming episode of Star Wars Rebels. Now a brand new clip has been released that teases the long-awaited rematch and it looks like it won't disappoint.

The clip was uploaded to the official Star Wars YouTube channel recently and, though brief, there is a whole lot of emotion in it and it puts an appropriately great deal of weight on this upcoming episode of Star Wars Rebels. The episode title "Twin Suns" is probably a reference to the two suns of the planet Tatooine where Obi-Wan has been hanging out ever since the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It also happens to be the name of a sparring technique used by Jedi in the Old Republic era, for whatever that is worth. Since it looks like Maul and Obi-Wan are going to cross blades again, it could very well have a few meanings. In any case, this episode looks very promising based on this clip.

"In this special preview of the Star Wars Rebels episode Twin Suns, Maul has returned to Tatooine, ready for his final revenge against Obi-Wan Kenobi."

We have known for quite some time that Obi-Wan and Darth Maul were going to come face-to-face again in Star Wars Rebels season 3 as it was initially teased in the midseason trailer. If there is one and only one thing that Star Wars Rebels has done exceedingly well thus far (and there is more than just one thing) it is building to a very big and satisfying finale in each season. While "Twin Suns" isn't the actual finale for this season, it is the last episode before the two-part finale "Zero Hour." It seems like Disney and Lucasfilm have saved some of the very best for last this season.

The events in Star Wars Rebels take place roughly five years prior to the events in Star Wars: A New Hope. Now that season 3 is wrapping up, we are getting very close to familiar ground in regards to the larger Star Wars timeline. Anyone who watches the show and also saw Rogue One: A Star Wars Story probably caught the good handful of Star Wars Rebels references and Easter Eggs. The point is, this isn't just some animated show on a kids network. It is a very serious, very legitimate part of the new Star Wars canon and more and more, especially with events like this, it is becoming essential viewing for fans.

Most fans agree that Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is not a great movie, but the showdown between Darth Maul and Obi-Wan is easily one of the best parts of it and something that has always warranted a follow-up. It may not be in a live-action movie, but we have every reason to believe this will deliver on the expectations. "Twin Suns" is set to debut on Saturday, March 18, at 8:30 p.m. EST on Disney XD.
