HBO's The Sopranos is arguably one of the best shows of all time, with an ending that is still debated to this day. While promoting the new complete series Blu-ray set that was released earlier this week, series creator David Chase revealed that he's interested in exploring a prequel TV series. Here's what he had to say in an interview with Associated Press, where he revealed the prequel would be much different than the original show.

"Even if I did it, it wouldn't be The Sopranos that was on the air - obviously at least one person is gone that we would need. There are a couple of eras that would be interesting for me to talk about, about Newark, New Jersey. One would be (the) late '60s, early '70s, about all the racial animosity, or the beginning, the really true beginning of the flood of drugs."

The person he would need is obviously series star James Gandolfini, who passed away at age 51 after suffering a sudden heart attack in June 2013. Naturally, it isn't known if David Chase is actually working on this story or not, but it's clear that he has a few ideas about what the show would be about, should it come to fruition.
