Summary

Norm Henderson (Norm Macdonald, "A Minute With Stan Hooper"), was once a fairly well-known --but not particularly good--professional hockey player. Norm participated in a couple of non-sports activities--gambling and tax evasion--and as a result, he was expelled from hockey for life. Facing a possible jail term, Norm lucked out and was sentenced to community service as a social worker. However, his fresh perspective and lack of patience for bureaucracy don't always go over well with his by-the-book co-workers. Enter Laurie and Danny who are Norm's co-workers and best friends. Both are caring, meticulous, highly skilled workers who are devoted to helping others work out their problems.
