Pilot season is in full swing, with two networks greenlighting new pilots. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has greenlit the latest pilot from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, entitled Ridealong, while CBS has picked up Matt Tarses' pilot True Love.

Ryan's Ridealong will follow the trials and tribulations of a Chicago cop who tries to clean up his violent and corrupt city. Ryan created the pilot and will executive produce, which adds to his already-full slate of executive producing and showrunning the Fox series Lie to Me along with his new FX series, Terriers.

Tarses' True Love will follow a group of four friends in New York as they search for love. It was said that, while the show will technically be a multi-camera comedy, it will look and feel like a single-camera show.
