Rosario Dawson is teaming up with The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd to develop the actress' graphic novel O.C.T.: Occult Crimes Taskforce for A&E.

The project is being considered as a starring vehicle for Rosario Dawson, who co-created the graphic novel with David Atchison. The project is set in New York City and centers on the O.C.T., which was formed after the Civil War to protect citizens from supernatural occurrences. The story centers on Sophia Ortiz, a new member of the O.C.T., which is battling a demon organization trying to take over the Big Apple. The graphic novel was once in development at Dimension Films for a feature adaptation.

Jorge Zamacona will adapt the graphic novel and is producing alongside Rosario Dawson, Gale Anne Hurd, David Atchison, Ford Lytle Gilmore, and Tony Shasteen.

If O.C.T.: Occult Crimes Taskforce is picked up to series, it would join A&E's growing scripted slate which includes The Glades, Breakout Kings, and the upcoming program Longmire.
