A few days ago, new photos surfaced from The Punisher wrap party, featuring Jon Bernthal, which seemed to indicate that principal photography had in fact been completed. While filming is likely coming to a close, it seems that shooting hasn't quite stopped yet, with new photos surfacing from the New York City set, featuring our best look yet at a bloodied Jon Bernthal, who is seen wearing an iconic costume. We also get a new look at Amber Rose Revah's Dinah Madini. It isn't clear when filming will actually be complete, but if a wrap party has already taken place, don't expect filming to continue for too much longer longer.

These images surfaced on Twitter last night, which show Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, who has certainly seen better days. The actor is seen bruised and battered, while wearing what appears to be a bulletproof vest with the iconic Punisher logo. Unfortunately, no other details were given about this scene, but we also get a glimpse of Amber Rose Revah as Homeland Security agent Dina Madini, who is seen with her gun drawn, as she walks past a railroad crossing. It remains to be seen if either of these scenes are connected in any way.

The Netflix original series started production in early October, and we learned through early set photos that Deborah Ann Woll will reprise her role as Karen Page, with this series introducing a number of new characters. Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Micro, a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them. Ben Barnes plays Billy Russo, Frank's Castle's best friend from his days in the Special Forces., who now runs successful private military corporation called Anvil. Daniel Webber plays Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society.

The cast is rounded out by Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle's and one of the few people who knows he is alive. Paul Schulze stars as Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle. Jaime Ray Newman portrays Sarah Lieberman, Micro's wife, whose marriage has made her life far more complicated, with Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein, a Homeland agent who is challenged by his partnership with Dinah Madini. The streaming service has confirmed a 2017 premiere date for The Punisher, although an exact date has not been given yet.

Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) will write the series' first two episodes in addition to serving as The Punisher showrunner and Executive Producer. Jim Chory (Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage) will also serve as Executive Producer along with Jeph Loeb (Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage), Marvel's Head of Television. The Punisher is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix. Take a look at the new set photos from The Punisher below.
