Do you sometimes just sit around and wonder what Frankie Muniz is up to? Well, at least this week, we know he is going to be on AMC's Preacher. Yes, AMC's super violent and crazy comic book TV show that was developed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. That Preacher. According to a photo on the network's website, the former Malcolm in the Middle actor is going to appear in the upcoming Preacher episode Viktor, which will also feature Adolf Hitler. Just to help give you some context.

AMC published a batch of photos on their website in order to tease the upcoming episode from Preacher Season 2 and, mostly, they feature characters we have already been introduced to. However, one of the images features Frankie Muniz who, based on the caption, is going to be playing himself in Viktor. All of the other photo captions address the character name first with the actor's name in parentheses. In the case of the photo that features Muniz, it just features his name. So that leads us to believe he is just playing himself in the episode. How crazy is that?

Preacher season 2 is moving right along and Viktor features Jesse (Dominic Cooper) as he pursues a lead and dives deeper into his search for God with Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) along for the ride. We are also going to discover more about Tulip, who has been captured by Viktor. There also looks to be some action going down in the underworld between Arseface (Ian Colletti) and Adolf Hitler (Noah Taylor). So, how on Earth (or Hell) any of this factors in with Frankie Muniz is anyone's guess at this point, but this may provide even more reason to tune into Preacher season 2. It's been awhile since he's been on a hit show, after all.

This won't be the first time the show has addressed real celebrity, or embraced it. The pilot episode is notorious for killing off Tom Cruise. It was a funny joke, and while Cruise himself didn't show up for a cameo, he later complained to AMC about the gag. But the makers of the show brushed it off, claiming that this was a world where Tom Cruise exists. And now he's dead.

Frankie Muniz rose to fame as a child star in Fox's hit comedy Malcolm in the Middle, which ran for seven seasons and went off the air in 2006. In the decade or so since the show ended, Muniz has more or less stayed out of the spotlight. He plays drums in a band and occasionally shows up for a guest spot on a show or small movie, but doesn't really do anything that high-profile and doesn't seem to have any desire to have a big acting career anymore. So seeing him show up on Preacher could be interesting. It could just be a quick appearance, but there's always a chance his character could reoccur.

AMC has also released a couple of promos for Viktor, but they don't give us much of a clue as to how Frankie Muniz fits into Preacher season 2 either. If you're a fan of the show, they do give you something to check out before the show returns this Monday on AMC.
