This is it! This is life, the one you get, so go and have a ball, and enjoy your first look at Netflix's much-anticipated original series One Day at a Time with the season one trailer and official key art. One Day at a Time launches Friday, January 6th, everywhere that Netflix is available. This new Netflix original series reinvents the original sitcom from TV legend Norman Lear, who returns to serve as an executive producer for this show.

A reimagining of the iconic Norman Lear's classic sitcom, One Day at a Time is a hilarious and heartfelt comedy that follows three generations of a Cuban-American family sometimes-reluctantly cohabitating and navigating the ups and downs of life. A newly-single mom and military veteran journeys through the triumphs and tribulations that come with raising two strong-willed, mega-millennial children, all the while enlisting the "help" of her old-school mother and her building manager-turned-invaluable confidante. Through an contemporary lens, One Day at a Time offers a glimpse at what life looks like, in good times and bad, and how those around you somehow make it all worthwhile.

Rita Moreno, Justina Machado, Stephen Tobolowsky, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz star in this fresh take on a classic. Gloria Calderón Kellett and Mike Royce executive-produce and are co-showrunners alongside executive producer Norman Lear. This show will be the first Netflix original series to debut in 2017, but we'll have to wait and see if a Season 2 renewal is in the cards for this sitcom.

The original series starred Bonnie Franklin, Valerie Bertinelli, Pat Harrington Jr., Mackenzie Phillips and Mary Louise Wilson, which ran for nine seasons between 1975 and 1984. The show was a critical and a ratings hit, with Valerie Bertinelli winning Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress in 1981 and 1982 for her performance as Barbara Cooper, with the late Pat Harrington winning an Emmy in 1984 for Best Supporting Actor. The show was a perennial ratings hit, as part of CBS' hit Sunday night lineup that included Archie Bunker's Place, Alice and The Jeffersons.

This trailer, courtesy of Netflix, doesn't indicate whether or not this sitcom will re-imagine the original show's classic theme song "This Is It," composed by Jeff Barry and performed by recording artist Polly Cutter. The streaming service brought in singer Carly Rae Jespen to reimagine the iconic Full House theme song for their reboot Fuller House, but it isn't clear if Netflix plans on reworking the One Day at a Time theme song. While we wait for more details, take a look at the first trailer and poster for One Day at a Time.
