Marvel Studios and Netflix have revealed the official synopsis for their upcoming superhero series Daredevil. It confirms that the series will be set in modern day Hell's Kitchen. Check it out:

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.

Boardwalk Empire star Charlie Cox will star as Matt Murdock. Steven S. DeKnight will be the show-runner on the project, which will be a 13-part series. He is also producing with Drew Goddard, who wrote the first two episodes. The series is one of five shows that are being produced by Marvel for Netflix, and also includes Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and The Defenders.

No production schedule has been released for any of the projects, but Daredevil is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2015.
