It seems that ABC's loss (or pass) is NBC's gain with a brand new comedy pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC picked up the pilot Friends With Benefits out of turnaround after ABC declined to give the project a pilot order.

The project, written by (500) Days of Summer screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber and will be directed by Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, was given a script order by ABC in September. When the network recently passed on giving the script a pilot order, NBC picked up the project and quickly greenlit the pilot.

The pilot will revolve around five single friends, a, but whom are looking for the love of their lives, but in the meantime have to settle with having "friends with benefits." No production schedule or casting information was released.
