Early last month, it was widely reported that Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy had called it quits. They made the break public, releasing a statement to the press just as their new show The Muppets is set to debut this fall. The ABC reality series, which is described as a fresh take on The Office, will show the lives of these various animals and creatures. And as expected, we'll be getting a bird's-eye view into the dating woes and romantic relationships of everyone's favorite Pig and Frog. ABC has leaked early photos of Kermy's new fling. And to be honest, she's a real pig.
Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have been together for over four decades. Though their split was amicable (according to the record), it didn't take long for the green man to start hitting the field. And boy, did he hit it hard. Kermit the Frog is rumored to be dating an ABC employee he met on the set of his new ABC series The Muppets. She is apparently the head of marketing for ABC, making her a co-worker (sort of). But you know what they say about workplace relationships. Don't eat where you...You get the drift.
Kermit the Frog's new love interest is named Denise. And as you can see in the couple of photos released, he certainly has a type. Instead of finding another frog to settle down with, Kermit has once again been drawn into the honey trap of a sexy swine. While Kermit getting a new girlfriend might not have been such a big deal, it's going to blow-up with cameras in his face, and his ex of forty years always just a few yards away from him. With everything being documented, you can guarantee that fans will get to see all of the most awkward moments, warts and all.
If rumors are correct, Miss Piggy hasn't done so bad for herself. She is apparently dating Liam Hemsworth, but that has not been confirmed by the Pig's rep. Liam Hemsworth apparently felt like perpetuating the rumor, as the Independence Day: Resurgence star shared a photo of the two on his personal Instagram. Liam Hemsworth will be appearing on The Muppets as himself, and we're promised to get a glimpse into his romantic relationship with Piggy.
Who knew he was into bestiality? For now, both the Pig and the Frog seem to want to keep their love life private, despite the intrusion and challenges of today's social media climate. Kermit the Frog is calling Denis just a friend, and denied they are a couple on his Twitter. You can read the statement below, along with seeing Liam Hemsworth's photo.
"While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding? It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman, pig or otherwise, is my official 'new girlfriend'. We are simply close friends."
