Actor Michael Chiklis is bringing his comic book series Pantheon to the small screen through IDW Entertainment and Circle of Confusion.

The five-issue series, which debuted in 2010 through IDW Publishing, followed ancient Greek gods who return to a war-torn Earth, revealing themselves for the first time to humans, as they battle to ensure the survival of mankind. The actor co-created the comic book with Anny Simon Beck and Marc Andreyko.

Michael Chiklis is executive producing alongside IDW's Ted Adams and David Ozer, and Circle of Confusion's David Alpert and Rick Jacobs. IDW Entertainment was formed in October, with an initial slate consisting of Life Undead, Brooklyn Animal Control and V Wars, based on IDW comic books.

Michael Chiklis is best known for his Emmy-winning role as Vic Mackey on the FX cop series The Shield. He most recently starred in and executive produced the CBS drama Vegas.
