After Kevin Feige unveiled the Marvel Phase Three slate earlier today, the producer and Marvel Studios president held a Q&A session with members of the press, where he touched on rumors of Iron Man 4, Spider-Man joining the MCU, and revealed why this event was held today, less than two weeks after DC unveiled their own superhero movie slate. The Marvel president also addressed Doctor Strange/Benedict Cumberbatch casting rumors, when fans will first see Black Panther, and much more.

We've broken down some of the more notable quotes, and you can also check out the full video of the 20-minute Q&A session.

Kevin Feige On the Possibility Of Iron Man 4

"If there are more years after 2019, then there will be more possibilities. I hope there are more years."

Kevin Feige On the Timing Of This Announcement

"We wanted to do this at Comic-Con this year, and things were not set. Things for Civil War were not set yet, Guardians of the Galaxy hadn't come out yet, and the comfort with dating some of the other movies wasn't set yet. The plan has been, since a few weeks before Comic-Con, when we realized we weren't going to be able to do everything we wanted to do, to decide to do something we haven't done in a long time, or we have never done, which is a singular event, just to announce what we have, when it's ready. I thought that might be early August, I thought it might be September, it ended up being today."

Kevin Feige on Benedict Cumberbatch/Doctor Strange Casting Rumors

"I can say that, if it were confirmed, we would have introduced him today. I like that Chadwick (Boseman), for the most part... I think there was a lot of speculation about a lot of different actors for Black Panther, but I'm glad that didn't leak in earnest, like every single other actor in human history, that is of a certain age, has leaked for Doctor Strange. So, like everything else, that will be announced... later this afternoon? Next week? Next month? Sometime before the release of the movie on November 4, 2016."

Kevin Feige On When Black Panther Will First Be Seen

"With Black Panther, what our little song and dance at the end was meant to signify was that he is definitively a big part of Captain America: Civil War. We will meet him for the first time in Civil War, in costume."

Kevin Feige On Whether Cosmo Will Get A Bigger Part in Guardians of the Galaxy 2

"The great thing about Guardians is there's no lack of awesome characters that we can do fun things with. Is Groot going to be small? Is he going to be big? Will Cosmo come back? What's that duck doing? Where's The Collector? All of those are fun questions, and when Mr (James) Gunn returns from Tokyo, those will be all of the questions that we start to go through."

Kevin Feige On When Captain Marvel Casting News May Be Announced

"My guess is rumors will start flying this second. The initial announcements, in terms of attachments for those films, will probably be writer announcements and director announcements, which I do actually expect will be quite soon. In terms of the actress, I think there's more time on that."

Kevin Feige On How Difficult It Is Crafting the Captain America: Civil War Story

"Well, the Russo's do a great job at trying to answer all of your questions, without giving anything away. They are truthful, in that it is very hard, and it was very hard, which is why we couldn't announce it until Comic-Con, and why we couldn't announce it until today. Now, it's a big story line, of course it is. Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a big story line and, make no mistake, this is the Captain America: Civil War of the Cinematic Universe, which will be greatly inspired by the Civil War of the comic universe, but we have very different continuity going. This will be based off all the other films you've seen to this point, particularly Winter Soldier and particularly Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Kevin Feige On The Possibility of a Hulk Stand Alone Movie

"I wouldn't say that Hulk is absent from the timeline. I'd say Hulk is going to appear in many of those movies, particularly all those Avengers movies leading up to 2019 in Infinity War. Mark Ruffalo is on board for all of those films, and we're excited to bring him to those films. What happens with the stand-alone Hulk film, I'm going to say what I said about Black Panther last week, or Captain Marvel a week before that, or Doctor Strange a week before that, or Guardians of the Galaxy two years ago, or Ant-Man 10 years ago: we'll see. We'd love to do it, we'd love to find a place to put it, but right now, Hulk will be appearing with his friends in the other films."

Kevin Feige On Rumors of the Russo Brothers Directing Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man Coming to the MCU

"Anything that wasn't specifically an obvious reveal today, is either not true at all, or still rumor until it's worked out."

Kevin Feige On The Nine Movies in Phase Three

"I don't say we set out to have any particular number. Phase One was six films.Phase Two, for those following along you'll realize that Ant-Man truly is the end of Phase Two, and Civil War truly is the beginning of Phase Three. So that leaves us with six films in Phase Two, and it is nine films in Phase Three. One of the reasons is one of the films is being split into two parts, Infinity War, and, because, frankly, the success that we've had, which is beyond our wildest dreams. I mentioned before, 10 films, over $7 billion, it is amazing. It gave us confidence, and, frankly, the studio is firing on all cylinders right now. We have the absolute best team in Hollywood, in front of the camera, behind the camera, working on these movies, which made us comfortable for the first time, as you see in 2017 and 2018, that we had the ability to increase it to three films a year, instead of just two, without changing our methods at all."

Kevin Feige On the Serpent Society Misdirect

"There are always plans, but they're mainly jokes. I'm going to say one more thing about Serpent Society. We had this great idea, right, because Civil War is first up, but we don't want to blow our wad on the presentation right up front, so we had the idea to put Serpent Society on there right up front. I thought it was awesome and hilarious, but then I thought that people are going to love Serpent Society, and think that's cool, but we bet they wouldn't think it was as cool as Civil War."

Kevin Feige On Considering African-American Directors For Black Panther

"We are, and we're doing what we're always doing, which is looking for the best writers and the best directors possible. I'm not going to say for sure that we're hiring any one demographic, but we're certainly meeting with a lot of people. Reggie I've known for many, many years and is a great guy. I think I'm meeting him again shortly. We will do what we've always done, which is hire who we believe are the best people to write the films and to direct the films."

Kevin Feige On Marvel's Agent Carter and the TV Division

"It doesn't affect my end of things much, because my end of things is features, and Jeph Loeb runs our TV division, which is overseeing Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel's Agent Carter and, of course, all the awesome Netflix series. I have some smaller involvement in Marvel's Agent Carter, because Hayley Atwell and Louis D'Esposito did the short on which the show is based. He directed the pilot, and he just finished it. It's awesome, even now in its rough form, and I had asked to be a little more involved in that one."

Kevin Feige On Inhumans Easter Eggs

"Where they fit into the universe, you may find out sooner than you expect. I already mentioned in the presentations that there are seeds leading to Black Panther, leading to Wakanda, starting very, very soon, likewise in Inhumans. There may be Easter Eggs starting before you know it."

Kevin Feige On The Tone of Marvel Movies

"I'd like to think it's a natural evolution, based on what has come before and where we want to go. I think, in general, the tone of all our movies are equal parts very serious and loving and respetful, and, at the same time, humorous and funny, some more than others. I think that is our default tone, because those are the movies we want to see, and those are the movies we want to make. Sometimes, as in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the story line calls for it to be a little more serious. In Guardians of the Galaxy, there are incredibly emotional moments and very serious moments, particularly in the opening of the film, but also also much funnier and much sillier. We like having both of those ends of the spectrum to play with in all of our franchises, regardless of what the a plot is."

Kevin Feige On Runaways Status

"Runaways is still an awesome script that exists in our script vault, by Drew Pearce. Frankly, the best thing that has happened with that script, is it brought our attention to Drew Pearce, who ended up co-writing Iron Man 3 with Shane Black. We'd love to do something with Runaways some day. Whenever there are television discussions and feature film discussions, that's one we talk about, because we have a solid, solid draft there, but, again, we can't make them all."

Kevin Feige On Worrying About Superhero Saturation

"I think that's a challenge we faced for many, many years. My general feeling is, let's stick to our plan, let's keep doing what we believe in and what the audience is telling us we're doing right. Our plan has never been altered based on what anyone else is doing. In any genre, frankly, particularly in any other superhero film. In terms of the dating, that's why we plant flags as early as we do, to mark some territory, so that you can hopefully have some room. But the truth is there are always going to be big movies on almost every weekend. What we've found so far is that if the movie delivers, the movie will do well. That's what we focus on: what we can control, which is the quality of the pictures."

Kevin Feige On Black Widow Not Getting a Solo Movie

"As I said in the presentation, it's all about introducing new characters. Black Widow couldn't be more important as an Avenger herself, but like Hulk the Avengers films will be the films where they play a primary role. Her role in Avengers: Age of Ultron is very, very big and further develops her character. The plans we have for her through the rest of the Avengers saga are very big and she is a linchpin. So instead of taking her out there or doing a prequel which we haven't done yet, we're continuing the forward momentum of the continuity of the Cinematic Universe, of which Widow is a key part."

Kevin Feige On Civil War Story and 'Secret Identities'

"I don't want to give too much away, but, needless to say, the generalities of the act are the same. Something happens, perhaps it's cumulative to things that have happened in all of the movies leading up to this point, have made the governments of the world say, 'We need to have some oversight on these guys. They need to report to somebody.' So, it falls more under that umbrella, than just 'Take off your mask.' It's not about the secret identity thing, as much as it is about, overall, who reports to who, and who can agree to an oversight committee. As of now, in Avengers 2, there is no more World Security Council, obviously, there is no S.H.I.E.L.D., obviously, Stark is paying for it, and Captain America is running it, and things occur, that make governments begin to question."

Kevin Feige On The Possibilities of Netflix Shows Moving To The MCU For Infinity War

"There are a lot of people from the movies in Infinity War. A lot of it is about space, and a lot is about what happens between now and then, but all of those things inhabit, however far on the outskirts, the same continuity, so certainly, that opportunity exists."
